Video RSS Feed

Movie trailers are advertisements of films meant for movies that are going to be released for public viewing in near future. These are actually the sequence of select shots from films and their main aim is to create awareness in the audience so that their curiosity and interest for the film is aroused. The sequences found in the trailers are not in chronological order and a trailer usually lasts for not more than 2 minutes.
One of the interesting facts about the movie trailers is this that the scenes that can be seen in them are not necessarily required to be a part of the original movie. These are embroidered in a way that audiences get charmed by the magic and ensure that they will go and see film for sure. Keeping this in mind, these catchy, electrifying and striking excerpts from the film are taken out and compiled together in the form of sequences in the trailers. Some of the examples of movie trailers can support these facts as in the trailer of Terminator 2: The Judgment Dayђ included some of the sophisticated scenes of special effects which were never used in the movie. But they create major hypes in the audience and the movie turned out to be a blockbuster. The same technique was used for Hitchcocks Psycho in 1960 as its trailers showed that the director is offering a guide tour to Bates Motel and by the end will arrive at the notorious shower. He then throws the shower curtain and a chilling stream of blood is seen to be curdling.
The movie MiramaxҒs Hero had been released after two years of its trailers began showing. During these two years, the trailers of the film were constantly broadcasted, thus creating a hyper curiosity in the audience to watch the movie. Sometimes, people who create these trailers start working on them even when the movie is still in the process of its making. It happens because of the fact the editor of the trailer will be able to work right on the unedited form of the film. These editors can include any particular footage or shot which may be or not be used for the films final version. Not only this, the editors may also use music which may not necessarily be included in the soundtrack of the film.
The Role Models Trailers generally include logos of the producing companyn and also the distributors along with the names of main cast or crew. It will not be wrong to say that trailers are outputs of widespread market research which is conducted in various locations. In todayҒs time, the trailers are very important part of film publicity and there are various trailer houses out there that specialize in making trailers for the films.
Movie trailers are a very significant part of a films marketing and publicity and they really help in determining the success of a movie on the box office. In order to encourage the formation of trailers, the Golden Trailer Awards are offered to the best trailers of different categories and are believed to be one of the most significant awards for the movie trailers.
