Travel RSS Feed

Professional Rome Guide, a site of tourist guides of the city and province of Rome officially launched the same site in Portuguese, simultaneously with the big event that took place last 18th May at the Embassy of Brazil, in the presence of the Ambassador of Brazil and the national airline Alitalia.

Alessandro and Agnese Innocca de Cesaris, responsible for Professional Rome Guide, had the honour of being invited by the Embassy of Brazil and participating in the presentation of the new Alitalia direct flight that will connect the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro to the Italian capital Rome. This great opportunity will allow many people from Rio to get to know the city of Rome and visit important tourist sites such as the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and the Vatican. Conversely, the air link with Brazil will allow many Italians to participate in the Rio de Janeiro Marathon, scheduled for next 17th July 2011 and considered one of the most beautiful marathons in the world.

The event at the Embassy was organised with the important contribution from Riotour and Embratur, the Brazilian tourism portal. During the event, Mario Moysès, chairman of the Brazilian Tourism Institute, confirmed the very positive statistics on tourist flow for 2011 (with 100 000 units more than in relation to previous years) confirming the huge contribution in terms of visits to Brazil from future events of the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

The guided tours agency, Professional Rome Guide, will thus have the pleasure of accompanying the Brazilians, gathered in Italy, on private tours in Rome, exploring the fascinating Made in Italy and the history and culture of the most beautiful Roman squares like Navona Square, the Spanish Square or the more famous Trevi Fountain.
