Eczema is a skin disorder that includes symptoms such as itchiness, dryness and redness and affects millions of people all over the world. There can be a lot of causes for eczema but some of the most common include allergic responses, dietary deficiencies, reactions to strong cold or hot weather, and genetics. Fortunately there are ways to alleviate the itching and eruptions to make the body more comfortable.

1. To cure eczema at home, follow a healthy lifestyle that includes drinking plenty of water every day and soaking the body in sunlight so that you can get adequate amount of vitamin D. Moreover, get proper sleep and be involved in physical activities so that the body sweats and is able to release toxins through skin. This is important for eczema treatment and even your medication won't work if you're living an unhealthy life.

2. You can make a light healing solution using olive oil as a base. Olive oil is said to have antibacterial properties and is said to be helpful in healing the skin and skin infections. It is also very hydrating for the skin. Add vitamin E oil to the olive oil. You can purchase vitamin E in capsule form and break open a capsule in 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Vitamin E is known to be high in antioxidants and is said to promote the healing of the skin.

3. Keep control on your daily diet: You should avoid foods like dairy products, wheat nuts, preservatives, alcohol, tobacco, coffee and tea. The different types of allergies we already discussed can be the culmination of the above foods we take in our diet. So avoiding these foods will keep your skin infection free.

4. Another popular natural treatment is the use of aloe vera. It can be obtained in gel purchased at health food stores or directly from the cut leaves. It is used too relieve itching and inflammation. Some people drink the juice as well for health benefits to their system.

5. A proper soap for eczema is effective during treatment phase. There have been very popular brands of soaps that are specifically meant for eczema treatment. Even almond oil soap and tea tree oil soap also help in providing relief in eczema treatment. Dead sea mud soap have also been known to be very beneficial in curing eczema. So using proper soap during eczema treatment forms one of the effective eczema home remedies.

6. Be sire to immediately apply a good oil or moisturizer after getting out of the shower. Avoid using products with perfumes or fragrances. Don't wear clothing that has a scratching action on your body when you move.

7. Essential oils can be added to this oil base. Chamomile, lavender and geranium are the best oils for treating eczema. Add 2 drops of chamomile, 1 drop of lavender and 1 drop of geranium to the oil. Alternatively you can add three drops of any of these oils to the olive oil. Do not add more than 4 drops to the mixture. For weeping eczema, use bergamot and juniper instead.
