It Is All About The Scotch Whiskey

One highly popular spirit is Scotch. Still, there are concerns regarding its name. Many say that if it is not prepared in Scotland, how come it is called such? Lending itself to this wonderful spirit, what is taken from the Scottish fields is naturally replaced.

A nobleman among the various spirits, Scotch whiskey comes from the wonderful fruits of mother earth. Seen in this light, it is easy to understand why people's inner naturalists like this drink. Scotland is perfect for brewing tasty Scotch. Why would it not be? It has rolling fields of wheat and barley plus endless peat moors all around.

Whisked Away By Whiskey Information

Generations have lain witness to the fine art of distillation. With every step in the fine malt maturation and distilling process, bits of polish and knowledge are gained. Today, two types of whiskeys are produced in Scotland. One is blended malt and the other is single-grain. This is all made possible largely because of the still's creation back in 1831.

Originally, only the single-malt variety of whiskey was available. Now people can also enjoy something made from many grains that were mixed, resulting in another kind of final malt whiskey product. The malt is bottled in limited quantities called single malts. These days, a number of the more notable blends are combined with grain whiskey.

In the middle of the countryside there are distilleries scattered in the area. All of them tap into the land's ingredients. Some are busy growing their own barley and wheat, controlling what is used in the production. Others enlist the help of expert farmers in creating one of the world's best spirits in existence.

Rivers and natural springs are also used, a fairly common practice in this location. In fact, the Skye River cuts across the region known for being Scotland's malt capital. The order of activities happens this way: the process of matching is followed by that of drying.

In the southernmost tip of the Scotland shoreline sits the Islay. It is the source of plenty of bottles of fine Scottish whiskey that are priced as high as $7,000. One Rhode Island liquor store is said to have put the product on the shelves and around 20 bottles were purchased within the first 24 hours. The company behind the product takes pride in the level of quality that goes into each bottle. Judging by how quickly people snatch up the Scotch, it is clear that they too are aware of the treasure they are getting when they buy the whiskey.
