• The main aim of a spa massage therapist is to provide you with an experience and give you tips which can help you look better. A therapeutic massage specialist on the other hand would try to reach the root cause of pain in your body and would suggest you with exercises which would heal your injury.
• Spa massages are highly expensive compared to a normal therapeutic massage. A single spa massage can cost you ten times the amount you would have to incur for a therapeutic massage.
• It is the young and the middle aged people who form the major clients for the spas whereas there is no target group who take the therapeutic massage. Many people seeking for therapeutic massage are well past 60, and suffering for pain in the muscles and joints.
• A spa massage therapist acts like a beautician who is bothered about the beauty of his/her client. A therapeutic massage specialist on the other hand works like a doctor explaining the purpose of the massage to his/her client and giving them recovery tips.
• Spa massage is generally a life long process as you would continue visiting the spa till a certain age where as therapeutic massage is temporary in nature and many people don't continue with it, once their wound is healed.
• Spa massage centres are well equipped to cater to your needs where as therapeutic massage can be done in the comfort of your homes.
