Poker dining tables - be different

Furniture RSS Feed

Unless you are a serious poker player, or have serious room in your home, getting a two for one out of your poker table is a great idea. You don't have to make any sacrifices either, you can find great looking poker dining tables that will meet all your needs when you host the weekly game, and still look great for that family dinner on Sunday.

There are some absolutely beautiful designs available that can easily convert from a full featured poker table into a beautiful, and elegant, dining room table. No one will ever know the difference!

By choosing poker dining tables you won't have to skimp on features either. These tables come complete with cushioned arm rests, chip trays, cup holders, etc. The only difference is that the tables look like a very expensive piece of dining room furniture when the table top is in position.

You can also choose from a variety of shapes and sizes. There are oval, round, and even rectangular tables that can accommodate up to 10 players, or diners, at one time. Also, you'll be able to choose many types of trim such as the type of wood your table is made from and the color of the felt for the table top.

Of course before you go out and buy your new table it's important to take some things into consideration first. The first, and most obvious, is to figure out what your budget is. A top quality convertible poker table can cost over a thousand dollars. You can also get less expensive tables but of course, the workmanship and materials won't be quite as nice.

You also need to figure out just how big of a space you have. If you're going to put your new table in your dining room, than just measure the space. Make sure when you measure that you add the amount of room needed to move the chairs in and out into your measurements.

If you're looking for a table that can do double duty but won't be used as a full time dining room table but rather just a secondary table set up in the family room for holidays, than you'll still need to figure out the dimensions of the room you intend to use it in. Again, make sure you factor in the amount of room you'll need to move chairs in and out as well as to walk around the table into consideration before you place an order.

If you plan on using your table in multiple locations you'll want to make sure it's fairly easy to move. You won't want to have to lug a huge, 10 person solid wood table up and down the stairs every week or every few months.

If you're an avid poker player and you don't want to settle for just any old table but would rather have actual poker dining tables your options are really only limited by your imagination, the available space and how deep your pockets are.
