BIOS Motherboard Driver: How to get updated drivers
Motherboard driver updates are essential updates required by your computer's hardware and should be reviewed for updates on a regular basis if you want to ensure your computer is working at its maximum potential. Updating motherboard devices such as when you update chipset devices is especially important as chipset devices are instruction sets on the hardware that determine what the motherboard is capable of. Therefore in order to allow the motherboard technology to evolve, chipset updates are also required.
For the basic operations your computer needs the very important BIOS driver. The Basic Input and Output System, or BIOS, uses the BIOS driver for some of the most important functions on your computer. When the PC is booted the BIOS driver starts the disk drive, hard drive, mouse and keyboard, graphics and so on.
What is the Motherboard?
The motherboard of your computer is really the hub of all activities. All system processes progress through the motherboard, in essence, your motherboard houses your BIOS memory, CPU, hard disk processes, and many more.
High Cost for an Integral Unit
Since your motherboard basically controls your computer's operations, it can be prohibitively expensive to purchase a new motherboard. You may be able to repair the motherboard, but this is quite complicated and really should be left to professionals.
Of course, some people prefer to find and install manual updates for Motherboard Drivers. This is another perfectly legitimate way to update your motherboard drivers. It's nice to be able to search for specific drivers and then download the ones specific to your motherboard's issues. To find and install manual updates, follow these steps:
• Click "Start."
• Then, click "Control Panel."
• You'll need to then go to "System and Maintenance."
• Click "Device Manager."
• Here, you'll see a list of all of the devices you need to update. Just double-click on the appropriate device.
• Next, click the tab labeled "Driver," and finally, click "Update Driver."
Manual updates are good for PC users who can tailor their repairs and specify what updates are necessary for the motherboard. Remember also that you may be able to find some updates on the manufacturer's website.
Checking the Drivers
You may need to update your drivers. Something may be clashing with your USB ports and they are in need of an update. You can check for updates in the Device Manager or by using Driver Updatesoftware.

Sometimes the BIOS Driver is out of date and need to be update from the manufacturers’ website. Even with the driver installed it is a good idea to check for updates every now and then on the producers website.
