Audi tt body kits - cool and sexy

Car buying RSS Feed

I love Audi's, I think they are the best high end sports car on the road. I, and my family, have had Jags, BMW's and Mercedes, but I think my Audi is the absolute best ever. If you feel the same way about your TT but you still want to 'spruce it up' a bit you have a ton of options when it comes to choosing Audi TT body kits.

Kits can vary from one manufacturer to another but in general you will be able to get front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, fender flares, spoilers and hoods. You can also mix and match which accessories you want to add. You don't have to just buy a complete kit you can get just one or two parts, it's completely your choice.

There are also things like neon lights and window tinting that can be added to many types of cars. Just do a search online and you can find multiple places that will sell these kits. Of course, you need to be careful when you order something online, make sure you know exactly what you're going to get. Also try to find out as much about the manufacturer as well as the website selling the kits as possible before you actually pull out your credit card.

Body kits are made of two types of composite materials: fiberglass and Poly-urethane. As with most things, there are pros and cons that come with each. Fiberglass can vary significantly from one manufacturer to the next so make sure that you know a little bit about the quality of a given manufacturer before you buy.

Poly-urethane is more flexible than fiberglass so it tends to hold up better if you get in an accident. It's a little tougher to paint though. Fiberglass can be less flexible than urethane but tends to be easier to paint and does hold up well in weather extremes. Fiberglass tends to also be lighter than urethane.

There are many manufacturers that make body kits. They generally will each provide kits for many makes and models of cars so no matter what type of car you have, you can compare price and quality for several manufacturers.

Many kit parts can be attached directly to an existing part on your car, some will completely replace the existing part. For example, depending on the manufacturer, you may be able to just add a bumper over your existing bumper or you may have to completely replace your existing bumper.

Some parts can be attached using adhesive while others will require you to drill holes in your car and attach the part with screws. Many of the parts will need to be painted so make sure that you include the cost of painting the part when you are deciding which part to get and how much you can spend.

Window tinting and neon lights aren't legal in all locales, so before you invest in them make sure you find out what your local laws are. You sure don't want to invest in great Audi TT body kits just to find that one or more parts aren't legal where you live!
