Ios 5 to be available in the fall by noltag
It looks like Apple will postpone their launch of iOS 5 for the time being. The new release date being kicked around is Autumn 2011.
Like the iPhones, Apple has a set rhythm with releasing iOS upgrades. They are usually announced in the spring and are subsequently released side by side with the latest iPhone.
However, it looks like this pattern will be broken. As we’ve reported countless times, the iPhone 5 should pop up this summer. The iOS 5 upgrade on the other hand will see daylight later.
Report iOS 5 To Be Demonstrated On iPhone 5
As for the iOS 5 itself, Apple is looking to add finishing touches in September. We may even get a sneak preview this summer if the developers choose to demo it.
How is this relevant to the iPhone 5? Well, if Apple does a demo, it will be on the iPhone 5. Sources say that the demo could happen in early summer (around June) but will not coincide with the iPhone 5’s release. In other words, the iPhone 5 will probably enter stores in July at the earliest.
